COMEX copper rebounds on Wednesday morning in Asia tracking mild pull back in dollar and improving economic data from China. Official data showed China?s Composite PMI rose to 50.7 in September 2026, its highest since December 2025, as manufacturing (50.1 vs 49.8) and non-manufacturing (50.2 vs 49.0) returned to growth. Besides, policymakers unveiled a new round of measures, including mortgage subsidies and expanded central bank funding support, while the State Council pledged to roll out a package of practical and effective additional policies. The red metal is up near half a percent at $6.63 per pound this morning. Meanwhile, major averages on Wall Street ended the day lower, capping gains in the counter. The Dow fell 131.59 points or 0.3 percent to 51,349.92, the Nasdaq edged down 22.84 points or 0.1 percent to 26,797.54 and the S&P 500 dipped 12.85 points or 0.2 percent to 6,760.84.
