Copper tries to stabilize after 2% slide in last session

COMEX Copper futures saw mixed moves today after falling around 2% in last session. Overall sentiments are mixed on rising US treasury yields and firm US dollar. Meanwhile, in Asia, China's Shanghai Composite index added 0.18% after heavy losses in last session while Hong Kong?s Hang Seng fell 0.48%. Japan?s Nikkei average lost 0.60%. European stocks moved up with German DAX rising around half a percent. The US stocks fluctuated but remained mostly lower and major averages all moved to the downside on the day following the strength seen during last Friday's session. This weighed on Copper yesterday but the metal is trying to stabilize around one and half week low and trades at $6.64 per pound, up marginally on the day. MCX Copper futures are flat at Rs 1404.30 per kg after falling under Rs 1400 mark.
