Copper sees lax moves after more than 1% slide in last session

COMEX Copper futures saw lax moves today following losses seen in last session as equities stayed under pressure and the US dollar index held near 101 mark. In Asia, China's Shanghai Composite index slipped 1.38% while Hong Kong?s Hang Seng eased 0.29 Japan?s Nikkei average edged up 0.76% to test two-week top. European stocks turned lower modestly. Wall Street indexes fell on Wednesday as the surge in Treasury yields weighed on equities. The Nasdaq Composite fell 1.1% after posting back-to-back record closes earlier in the week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.7%, while the S&P 500 fell 0.8%. COMEX Copper fell more than 1% yesterday and currently trades at $6.77 per pound, up 0.24% on the day. MCX Copper is up 0.13% at Rs 1417.60 per kg.
