Quick Wrap: Nifty Financial Services Index registers a drop of 2.39%, NIFTY Crashes 1.64%

Nifty Financial Services index closed down 2.39% at 24954.15 today. The index has lost 5.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Max Financial Services Ltd fell 9.78%, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd dropped 6.16% and Bajaj Finance Ltd shed 5.87%. The Nifty Financial Services index has decreased 5.00% over last one year compared to the 7.96% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Private Bank index has slid 2.19% and Nifty Bank index has dropped 1.96% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 1.64% to close at 23063.1 while the SENSEX has declined 1.67% to close at 73580.54 today.
