Ministry of Finance revises customs duty for edible oils lower

Ministry of Finance has revised the Customs duty for edible oils w.e.f. 24th September 2026. For crude palm oil, RBD Palm oil, RBD Palmolein, Crude soyabean oil and Refined Soyabean oil, there is a total duty reduction of 5.5% and the total duty for these oils stand at 11%, 30.25%, 30.25%, 11% and 30.25%, respectively. For crude sunflower oil and refined sunflower oil, the duty stands at 5.50% and 24.75%, respectively, reduced by 11%. Solvent Extractors Association has noted that this is a balanced step to address rising prices ahead of the festive season.
