US natural gas futures extend break above $3 per pound to hit two-month high

US natural gas futures continued to soar as a break above $3 per pound boosted the sentiments. Prices are rising as markets eyed hot weather forecasts in the US. The benchmark futures currently trade at $3.18 per mmbtu, up around 0.92% on the day, after gaining around 2% in last session and is around a two-month low. Natural Gas futures are now tracking weekly storage data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) set to get released tonight. MCX Natural Gas rose 1.29% to trade at Rs 306.30 per mmbtu and has been in a mostly sideways range.
