Economic Buzz: US composite PMI at 62-month high in September

The United States Composite PMI Output Index came in at 58.4 in September, improving from 56 in August and reaching a 62-month high, S&P Global said in a preliminary report on Wednesday.

At the same time, the country's Flash Services PMI Business Activity Index was at its highest in 59 months, standing at 58.7, up from 56.5 the prior month. Additionally, the Flash Manufacturing Output Index climbed to 56.7 from 53.1 in August, a 53-month high.
