Economic Buzz: Australia private sector output eases in September

The business activity of Australia's private sector eased in September, according to Wednesday's preliminary report by S&P Global.

The Flash Australia Services PMI Business Activity Index landed at 51.4, down from the previous month's figure of 53.2. Meanwhile, the Manufacturing PMI came in at 49.3, dropping from last month's 52.0. The composite PMI, which takes into account the results achieved in the two aforementioned sectors, stood above the neutral 50 mark at 50.8, lower than the previous 52.7.
