Economic Buzz: US weekly employment up by 20,000; reports ADP

The United States added an average of 20,000 jobs in the week ending September 5, Automatic Data Processing Inc. (ADP) said in an update published on Tuesday.

The document noted that hirings accelerated compared to the previous week. It also pointed out that the figure is preliminary and subject to change.

In the previous report, the number of jobs added stood at 16,250.
