Precious metals Preview: COMEX gold steadies above $4300 an ounce mark

22-Sep-2026 | 08:58

COMEX gold is seen steadying at $4386.60 an ounce on Tuesday morning in Asia amid lack of major cues as oil prices and dollar are both stabilizing and awaiting further developments in Middle East. Gains from lower oil prices are seen offset by hawkish Fed stance. President Trump is scheduled to address the UN General Assembly in New York later today and may meet with Iranian President Pezeshkian on the sidelines. Nevertheless, elevated geopolitical uncertainty and concerns over fiscal sustainability could continue to keep the yellow metal supported. Meanwhile, silver futures are up half a percent at $66.79 per ounce.
