Commodities Buzz: Silver net speculative long positions ease to one month low

Precious metals speculators marginally cut their net long positions in the Silver futures markets last week after recent declines, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 25326 contracts in the data reported through September 15, 2026. This was a weekly drop of 723 net contracts and pulled up net longs to one-month low.
