The highly anticipated Trump-Xi meeting will also remain in focus, particularly on trade and AI-related developments.

In the Americas, Mexico’s central bank will announce its policy decision, while inflation data from Mexico and Brazil and Canadian retail sales will also be watched.

Europe: Flash PMI readings from the Euro Area, Germany, France and the UK will headline the European calendar, offering fresh insight into manufacturing and services activity. Germany’s Ifo Business Climate Index and consumer-confidence readings will provide further clues on economic momentum, while UK borrowing and retail indicators will also draw attention. Central banks in Sweden, Switzerland and Norway are due to announce monetary policy decisions.

Asia: China’s PBOC is expected to keep its one- and five-year loan prime rates unchanged, while Japan will release preliminary September PMIs. India will publish infrastructure output and flash PMIs, while Australia’s labour-force report and PMIs will be closely watched.
