Copper gains for third session

COMEX Copper futures edged up steadily today, rising for third session in a row amid choppy risk appetite. In Asia, China's Shanghai Composite index eased 0.41%. Hong Kong?s Hang Seng index fell 0.44% while Japanese Nikkei index added 0.33%. European stocks edged up today and major indices are up around half a percent. The US stocks came under and pulled back well off their highs of the session and into negative territory. The Dow led the way lower, slumping 1.2% to a three-month closing low of 51,461.90. Copper has gone up around 1% last session and is currently quoting at $6.60 per pound, adding around 1.40% on the day. MCX Copper futures are also up 0.94% at Rs 1387.30 per kg with a modest rise in open interest.
