Economic Buzz: Eurozone's industrial production down 0.1% in July

The seasonally adjusted industrial production in the Eurozone slipped 0.1% in July, compared to the month prior, Eurostat revealed in its report on Wednesday. In the entire European Union, the figure saw a monthly decrease of 0.3%. Year-over-year, industrial output was stable in the euro area, while it increased by 0.3% in the EU.

In the Eurozone, monthly production of intermediate goods, energy, capital goods, and durable consumer goods gained 0.3%, 0.9%, 0.5% and 0.9%, while production of non-durable consumer goods fell 1.6%. Across the EU, production of energy, capital goods and durable consumer goods rose 0.6%, 0.3%, and 0.3%, while production of intermediate goods and non-durable consumer goods fell 0.2% and 1.3%.

Among EU Member States, the highest monthly gains were recorded in Denmark with 4.2%, Bulgaria with 2.9%, and Lithuania with 2.4%.
