Copper under stress after massive losses in last session

COMEX Copper futures fell today as sentiments were lax after a 5% crash in last session. The metal had tanked on uncertainty over US tariffs on refined copper. The commodity currently trades at $6.53 per pound, down 0.31% on the day. Meanwhile, equities were mixed today. China's Shanghai Composite index fell 1.18%. Hong Kong?s Hang Seng index dipped 0.60% while Japanese Nikkei index tanked around 2%. European stocks attempted a recovery today with major indices rising more than half a percent. The US stocks dipped for a fourth consecutive session as August PPI data showed an acceleration in inflation pressures, pushing the 10-year Treasury yield to a three-year high near 5% mark. MCX Copper futures are up 0.13% at Rs 1374.45 per kg after falling near Rs 1371 per kg.
