The United Kingdom's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 0.4% in July following an expansion of 0.3% in the previous month, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said in its report published on Friday.

The document attributed the increase to a 0.4% rise in services, a 0.2% rise in production, and a 0.1% rise in construction.

The British economy expanded by 0.4% in the three months to July, following the figure of 0.4% in the three months to June, mostly due to a 0.6% increase in services output.
