Precious Metals Preview: Gold and silver futures stay choppy in early Asia; US inflation data eyed
10-Sep-2026 | 09:18
COMEX gold stays choppy amid lackluster moves on Thursday morning in Asia, although a weaker dollar helps the yellow metal from falling sharply. Surging oil prices amid escalating geopolitical tensions are increasing case for a Federal rate hike and dampening sentiments in precious metals. US inflation figures will be closely monitored this week for further cues on Fed interest rate decision. Currently, the counter is seen holding at $4453.40 an ounce while silver slumped nearly 1% this morning to be quoting at $68 per ounce.
