The United States added an average of 12,000 jobs in the week ending August 22, Automatic Data Processing Inc. (ADP) said in an update published on Wednesday.
The document noted that hirings accelerated compared to the previous week. It also pointed out that the figure is preliminary and subject to change.
In the previous report, the number of jobs added stood at 11,750.
