Energy Preview: WTI crude oil futures hover around 3-month high; Brent on the brink of $100 per barrel mark

Crude oil prices are hovering at an over three-month high with Brent approaching $100 mark amid escalating US-Iran tensions. In the latest developments surrounding the Middle East crisis, the US reportedly attacked Iranian oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman and near Kharg Island. Iran responded by firing over 30 missiles at US forces stationed at the Al Azraq base in Jordan. WTI crude futures are quoting at $94.22 per barrel, up more than 1% on the day. Meanwhile, MCX crude oil futures are trading around ₹8,734 per barrel for the September 2026 expiry, supported by global benchmarks nearing three-month highs.
