Precious Metals Preview: COMEX gold rebounds above $4500 mark in early Asia
04-Sep-2026 | 08:49
COMEX gold is holding above $4500 mark on Friday morning in Asia after having briefly slipped below the level earlier in the week. Dollar under 99 mark and easing global yields are seen limiting losses in the precious metals. However, elevated oil prices are adding to inflationary concerns and offsetting gains in the counters. The yellow metal is currently quoting at $4523.40 an ounce, down 0.36% on the day while silver futures are down nearly half a percent at $67.38 per ounce. All eyes will be on the US August Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) report, which is due later on Friday.
