Oil slips below $90 amid fluid US-Iran tensions

Crude oil prices edged lower in Asian electronic trade, with WTI slipping below the $90 per barrel mark as markets reassessed the implications of renewed US-Iran hostilities and the potential disruption to Middle Eastern supply flows. While the latest escalation continues to sustain a geopolitical risk premium, President Trump?s indication that the campaign may not persist for long has tempered some of the immediate supply fears. Brent crude declined 0.6% to $95.11 per barrel, while WTI eased 0.51% to $90.55, with domestic futures also retreating 0.8% to ₹8,531 per barrel.
