Economic Buzz: Australia's July trade surplus at 1.9B Australian dollars

03-Sep-2026 | 10:10
Australia posted a trade surplus in July, with the figure reaching 1.92 billion Australian dollars (~$1.38 billion), according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

The result went down from June's 2.34 billion Australian dollar surplus.

Exports fell 3.3%, driven by declines in non-monetary gold and coal, coke and briquettes, while imports decreased 2.5%, mainly due to lower fuel and lubricants and non-monetary gold imports.
