Economic Buzz: Eurozone unemployment rate at 6.4% in July

The unemployment rate in the Eurozone stood at 6.4% in July, up slightly from 6.3% in June and the same month in 2025, the European Commission's statistical office, Eurostat, said on Tuesday. In the European Union, the figure landed at 6.1%, stable compared to June but modestly elevated from 6% in July 2025.
The highest unemployment rates were reported in Finland at 10.5%, Spain at 10% and Sweden at 8.7%. The lowest rates were seen in Poland at 3.4% and Slovenia and Malta at 3.5%. Youth unemployment stood at 15.1% in the EU, down from 15.6% from June, while in the Eurozone it fell by 0.1 point to 14.9%.
