MCX Evening Update: Silver records smashing gains

MCX Gold is adding to gains in evening trades. The futures had dipped under Rs 157800 per 10 grams in morning moves but edged up steadily thereafter. It trades at Rs 159439 per 10 grams right now, up 0.28% on the day. Silver futures have broken above $70 per ounce in global markets and MCX Silver futures for December currently trade up 1.64% at Rs 251883 per kg. Open interest is rising in the counter ahead of the expiry of near month futures.
