Copper moves up near record high

COMEX Copper futures approached towards record highs, breaking above $6.70 per pound mark amid mostly supportive equities. Asian shares saw tight moves on Friday. China's Shanghai Composite index eased 0.11%. Hong Kong?s Hang Seng index added 0.07% while Japanese Nikkei index added 0.41%. European stocks mostly rose. German DAX index is up more than half a percent.The technology-heavy Nasdaq led US equities higher on Thursday. On Thursday, the S&P 500 rose 0.7% and pulled closer to its all-time high set earlier this month. The Dow Jones added 0.2%, and the Nasdaq composite surged 1.6%. COMEX Copper futures raced up 0.62% to trade at $6.73 per pound and have added more than 2% this week. MCX Copper futures are hovering near Rs 1400 per kg mark.
