Precious Metals Preview: COMEX gold slips under $4700 mark but stays supported around 3-month high

COMEX gold futures are holding around a three-month high on Tuesday but off $4700 an ounce mark as markets now look forward to the release of the US Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index on Wednesday. Fed Chair Kevin Warsh?s keynote address at the annual Jackson Hole Symposium on Friday will also be scrutinized for more interest rate cues, which will influence the USD and provide some meaningful momentum to gold prices. The yellow metal is currently quoting at $4690.70 an ounce, down 0.15% on the day. Meanwhile, silver is down around 1% at 67.94 per ounce.
