MCX Evening Update: Gold shines, breaks above Rs 164000 per 10 grams

MCX Gold futures are excising gains, breaking above Rs 164000 per 10 grams and currently trade at Rs 164050 per 10 grams, up around 1% on the day. The counter had drifted towards Rs 163000 per 10 grams mark in afternoon but saw good bounce back thereafter. MCX Silver is up by a modest 0.22% at Rs 247129 per kg amid sideways trading.
