Acutaas Chemicals gains as board OKs Rs 212-cr capex for new plant

Acutaas Chemicals advanced 1.89% to Rs 3,228.35 after the company?s board approved a capital expenditure (capex) of Rs 212 crore for establishing a manufacturing plant for new electronic grade chemicals in Gujarat.
The proposed investment will be used to establish a greenfield or brownfield manufacturing facility, either directly by the company or through one of its subsidiaries.

The company currently has no capacity for electronic grade chemicals and plans to add capacity of up to 81,000 MT per annum by FY28. The project will be financed through internal accruals, bank financing or other permissible sources.

Acutaas Chemicals is a speciality chemicals manufacturer serving a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, battery chemicals, personal care, agrochemicals, and fine chemicals.

The company?s consolidated net profit jumped 67.67% to Rs 74.26 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 44.29 crore in Q1 FY26. Net sales climbed 59.08% YoY to Rs 329.67 crore in Q1 FY27.
