Urban Company jumps after Kent RO agrees to pull down advertisements
The matter was heard by the Delhi High Court on 12 August 2026. During the hearing, Kent RO stated that it would pull down the advertisements and social media content that were the subject of the suit and would not publish other promotional content making the same or similar disparaging claims about water purifiers offering a two-year filter life or two-year no-servicing feature.
The court directed Kent RO to remove the advertisements and social media content within 15 days from 12 August 2026. The order was published on the Delhi High Court's website on 22 August 2026.
The dispute followed a campaign by Kent RO in which, according to Urban Company, the company described the two-year filter life and two-year service life features of Native water purifiers as a ?marketing gimmick? and claimed that using the products was ?unsafe? and ?risky? for consumers.
Urban Company said other legal proceedings between the two companies remain pending. These include a patent infringement suit filed by Kent RO, a counterclaim filed by Urban Company against Kent RO's patent and a tortious interference suit filed by Urban Company against Kent RO.
