Economic Buzz: Eurozone construction output down by 1.3% in June

The seasonally adjusted construction output in the euro area declined by 1.3% in June compared to the month before, Eurostat said in its report on Thursday. On an annual basis, the reading was down 0.7%. In the entire European Union, the figure decreased 1% compared to May and increased 0.2% compared to June 2025.

In the Eurozone, building construction saw a monthly decline of 0.9% and civil engineering dropped 1.4%. Year over year, building construction slid 6.5% and civil engineering was up 0.3%.

Building construction and civil engineering in the entire EU both decreased 0.7% in June compared to May. Year-over-year, building construction tumbled 4.9% and civil engineering advanced by 1.4%.
