Australia?s employment fell by 15,800 to 14.81 million in July 2026, marking the first decline since April, as part-time employment dropped by 32,200. In contrast, full-time employment rose by 16,300 to a record 10.21 million. The participation rate slipped to 66.9%, while employment remained 1.3% higher than a year earlier.
