Economic Buzz: US weekly employment up by 9,500, reports ADP

The United States economy added 9,500 jobs on average in the four weeks ending August 1, compared to the previous seven-day period, Automatic Data Processing Inc. (ADP) revealed in its report published on Tuesday.

The report noted the uptick in hiring for the first time in seven weeks. Previously, private employment increased by 8,250 in the four weeks ending July 25.
