Commodities Buzz: Silver net speculative long positions see modest rise

Precious metals speculators marginally added to their net long positions in the Silver futures markets last week after recent declines, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Silver futures, traded by large speculators, hedge funds and retailers, totaled a net position of 23646 contracts in the data reported through August 11, 2026. This was a weekly rise of 1366 net contracts and pulled them up further from seven-week low.
