14-Aug-2026 | 08:32
The United States Producer Price Index (PPI), on a seasonally adjusted basis, remained unchanged in July compared to the previous month, the Bureau of Labor Statistics revealed in its report on Thursday. On an annual basis, producer prices rose by 4.7%.

Prices for final demand services increased by 0.2%, while construction prices advanced by 2.2%. These gains offset a 0.7% decline in final demand goods, driven partly by a 3.1% drop in energy prices.

The PPI excluding food, energy and trade services rose by 0.4% month-on-month and 4.7% year-on-year.
