Economic Buzz: Eurozone industrial production stable in June

The Eurozone's industrial output remained largely unchanged in June compared to May, Eurostat said in its latest report on Thursday. In the European Union, industrial production increased by 0.2%. Year-on-year, industrial production grew by 0.1% in the euro area and 0.6% in the EU.
On a monthly basis, the Eurozone recorded an increase in the output of non-durable consumer goods by 3%, followed by energy at 1.5% and consumer goods at 0.3%. The production of capital goods was down by 1.4% and of intermediate goods by 0.8%. Annually, energy production rose by 0.9%, intermediate goods by 0.4% and capital goods by 0.1%, while the output of durable consumer goods and non-durable consumer goods fell by 2.5% and 0.5%, respectively.
