Economic Buzz: Japan producer prices rise 0.1% in July

Japan's producer price index (PPI) rose by 0.1% in July compared to the previous month, according to a preliminary report released on Thursday by the Bank of Japan (BoJ).
On a year-on-year basis, PPI rose by 7.2%.
The report also showed that export prices in contract currency terms increased by 10.1% from a year earlier, and import prices rose by 17.7% year-on-year.
