Economic Buzz: Singapore current account surplus rises to SGD 37.08 billion

Singapore?s current account surplus climbed to SGD 37.08 billion in Q2 2026 from SGD 30.52 billion a year earlier, supported by a stronger goods surplus as exports surged. The services surplus also improved, while the secondary income deficit narrowed. However, the primary income deficit widened to SGD 44.77 billion. In 2025, Singapore?s annual current account surplus stood at SGD 131.96 billion, slightly above SGD 131.67 billion in 2024.
