Copper rebounds amid steady risk appetite

Copper futures stabilized today after a correction in last session as generally steady risk appetite supported the metal. COMEX Copper futures are currently trading at $6.63 per pound, up 0.53% on the day. The metal is up around 2.5% this month, broadly supported by falling inventories which fell to six-month low on LME in last session. MCX Copper futures are up 0.85% at Rs 1377.15 per kg. Meanwhile, in Asia, China's Shanghai Composite index rose 0.67%. Hong Kong?s Hang Seng index soared 1.05%. Japan?s Nikkei average spiked around 2% to hit around three-week top. European stocks saw choppy action. In US markets, the sentiments have been firm recently. The S&P 500 closed at a record high of 7,757 on Friday. The three major US indexes wrapped up their strongest week since April 2026 last week.
