Net sales up 7.6% YoY to Rs 149 crore in Q1FY2027

Quarter ended June 2026 compared with Quarter ended June 2025.

Net sales (including other operating income) of Monte Carlo Fashions has increased 7.59% to Rs 149.04 crore.  

Operating profit margin has declined from negative 4.24% to negative 8.68%, leading to 120.27% decline in operating profit to Rs -12.93 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) increased from 16.32% to 18.01%.   Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 38.72% to 41.10%.   Employee cost increased from 19.51% to 20.63%.   Other expenses fell from 28.99% to 27.46%.   Selling and administration expenses fell from 6.27% to 3.77%.   

Other income rose 0.19% to Rs 10.46 crore.  PBIDT stood at Rs 2.47 crore compared to profit of Rs 4.57 crore.  Provision for interest rose 12.53% to Rs 12.3 crore.  

PBDT stood at Rs 14.77 crore compared to profit of Rs 22.2 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 11.37% to Rs 16.94 crore.  

Profit before tax down 47.01% to Rs -31.71 crore.  Share of profit/loss were nil in both the periods.  Provision for tax was credit of Rs 8.29 crore, compared to credit of Rs 5.35 crore.  Effective tax rate was 26.14% compared to 24.80%.

Minority interest was nil in both the periods.  Net profit attributable to owners of the company decreased 44.39% to Rs -23.42 crore.  

Promoters? stake was 73.17% as of 30 June 2026 ,compared to 73.17% as of 30 June 2025 .  

Full year results analysis.

Net sales (including other operating income) of Monte Carlo Fashions has increased 15.95% to Rs 1275.91 crore.  

Operating profit margin has jumped from 16.95% to 17.81%, leading to 21.83% rise in operating profit to Rs 227.21 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 9.18% to 8.39%.   Purchase of finished goods cost fell from 45.70% to 44.24%.   Employee cost increased from 10.48% to 11.02%.   Other expenses rose from 18.69% to 19.34%.   Selling and administration expenses rose from 3.71% to 3.95%.   

Other income rose 2.93% to Rs 36.2 crore.  PBIDT rose 18.83% to Rs 263.41 crore.  Provision for interest rose 6.37% to Rs 50.62 crore.  Loan funds rose to Rs 579.66 crore as of 31 March 2026 from Rs 514.41 crore as of 31 March 2025.  Inventories rose to Rs 570.88 crore as of 31 March 2026 from Rs 503.18 crore as of 31 March 2025.  Sundry debtors were higher at Rs 499.05 crore as of 31 March 2026 compared to Rs 416.18 crore as of 31 March 2025.  Cash and bank balance declined from Rs 35.47 crore as of 31 March 2025 to Rs 2.74 crore as of 31 March 2026.  Investments rose to Rs 252.15 crore as of 31 March 2026 from Rs 245.70 crore as of 31 March 2025 .  

PBDT rose 22.24% to Rs 212.79 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 9.02% to Rs 65.6 crore.  Fixed assets increased to Rs 409.85 crore as of 31 March 2026 from Rs 385.44 crore as of 31 March 2025.  Intangible assets declined from Rs 4.50 crore to Rs 2.99 crore.  

Profit before tax grew 29.22% to Rs 147.19 crore.  Share of profit/loss were nil in both the periods.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 35.13 crore, compared to Rs 32.74 crore.  Effective tax rate was 23.87% compared to 28.74%.

Minority interest was nil in both the periods.  Net profit attributable to owners of the company increased 38.06% to Rs 112.06 crore.  

Equity capital stood at Rs 20.73 crore as of 31 March 2026 to Rs 20.73 crore as of 31 March 2025.  Per share face Value remained same at Rs 10.00.  

Promoters? stake was 73.17% as of 31 March 2026 ,compared to 73.17% as of 31 March 2025 .  

Cash flow from operating activities increased to Rs 99.84 crore for year ended March 2026 from Rs 72.81 crore for year ended March 2025.  Cash flow used in acquiring fixed assets during the year ended March 2026 stood at Rs 37.99 crore, compared to Rs 38.06 crore during the year ended March 2025.  

Operational highlights:

Sales volumes witnessed broad-based growth across key categories, with Cotton volumes increasing 23% YoY, Home Textiles 42% YoY, and Kids wear 5% YoY, highlighting strong product acceptance.

During the quarter, the company opened 2 new EBOs under the brand ?Cloak & Decker?, taking the total store count to 25 outlets with the ongoing expansion strategy, in sizes ranging between 500?1,000 sq. ft.
