Economic Buzz: German factory orders up by 3.1% in June

Seasonally and price-adjusted new factory orders in Germany saw a monthly jump of 3.1% in June, the country's statistical office Destatis revealed in its preliminary report published on Thursday.
Domestic orders increased by 7.8%, while foreign orders rose by 0.2%. On the other hand, orders from the Eurozone plunged by 14%. Outside the euro area, they went up by 10.2%. New orders of capital goods gained 6.4%. Consumer goods rose by 4.2%. Meanwhile, intermediate goods decreased by 2.5%.
Year-on-year, the figure soared by 6.5%.
