Economic Buzz: US manufacturing activity unchanged in July

Manufacturing activity in the United States was unchanged in July compared with the month prior, S&P Global said in its report published on Monday. The seasonally adjusted Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) came in at 53.9, unchanged from June. The figure remained above the key 50.0 mark for the 12th consecutive month.

Although there were gains in output and new orders, the report noted that production increased at its weakest pace since March, while new orders grew at their slowest pace in the third consecutive month.
