Copper consolidates around one-month high

COMEX Copper futures consolidated around one-month high as steady manufacturing PMI data across the globe supported the red metal. Equities were mixed in Asia as China's Shanghai Composite index eased 0.59% after recent gains. Hong Kong?s Hang Seng index added 0.48%. Japan?s Nikkei average slipped around 1% on firm undertone in Yen. European stocks jumped on strong global risk appetite though. German DAX and French CAC indices are up around 1.5% each. The US stocks ended sharply higher Friday. The Nasdaq Composite rose 1% while the S&P 500 added 0.7%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.53%. COMEX Copper futures are currently trading at $6.49 per pound, up 0.32% on the day. MCX Copper futures are up 0.18% at Rs 1343.90 per kg after testing Rs 1350 mark.
