COMEX Copper up around 3.60% in July

COMEX Copper futures held near one-week high on supportive equities. The metal currently trades at $6.48 per pound, up marginally on the day. It rose 3.56% this month following a more than 2% fall in June. Meanwhile, Korean markets jumped today, setting up positive mood for Asia. China's Shanghai Composite index rose 0.72%. Hong Kong?s Hang Seng index added 0.10%. Japan?s Nikkei average spiked 4%. South Korea?s Kospi index rallied around 18% on a surge in chipmaking stocks after recent string of losses. European stocks rose across the board. German DAX rose 0.93%. In overnight trades, the S&P 500 rallied 1.7% and more than recovered its drop from the day before, which was its worst in seven weeks. The Dow also spiked 1.2%. The Nasdaq composite rallied 2.8%.
