Economic Buzz: US personal consumption expenditure price index up marginally in Jun-26

The US Personal consumption expenditures (PCE) edged up by $65.2 billion, or 0.3%, on a monthly basis in June, the country's Bureau of Economic Analysis stated today. The PCE price index, the preferred measure of inflation for the Federal Reserve, dipped by 0.1% on a monthly basis in June, and moved up by 3.7% compared to the same month in the previous year. Excluding food and energy, the PCE price index rose 0.1% compared to May, and by 3.3% compared to June 2025. Data showed that US personal income rose 0.2% or $54.9 billion in the reported month compared to the previous month, while disposable personal income (DPI) gained by $48.3 billion or 0.2%.
