Economic Buzz: Eurozone consumer confidence strengthens in July

The consumer confidence indicator in the euro area stood at negative 15.9 in July, improving from negative 17.6 registered in June, a report from the European Commission showed on Thursday.
Meanwhile, in the entire European Union, the consumer confidence indicator came in at negative 15.1 in July, up 1.9 percentage points from the previous month.
Despite three consecutive months of improvement, consumer confidence has not yet recovered the losses incurred since February and remains below its long-term average, the report said.
