Economic Buzz: US home prices up 1.1% on year

The S&P Cotality Case-Shiller US National Home Price NSA Index reported a 1.1% annual gain for May 2026, up from a 0.9% rise in the previous month. For the 12th consecutive month, US home values fell in real terms, as May?s 4.2% inflation ran roughly 3 percentage points above the 1.1% home price gain.
