Copper falls near one-week low

COMEX Copper futures turned marginally lower today, giving up as lack of fresh economic stimulus from China weighed on the sentiments. The red metal currently trades at $6.30 per pound, down 1.20% on the day. These are the lowest levels in last one-week for the metal. MCX Copper futures are also down 1% at Rs 1323.20 per kg as the counter extended losses throughout the session today. Meanwhile, in Asia, markets ended mostly lower. China's Shanghai Composite index fell 1.16%. Hong Kong?s Hang Seng index added 0.41%. Japan?s Nikkei average fell around 4%. European stocks stayed supported though, adding to recent gains. The Dow Jones rose 0.5% yesterday though overall mood was choppy for US equities.
