COMEX Copper stays in demand amid firm equities

COMEX Copper futures moved up steadily today amid firm cues from global equities. Oil prices tanked on hopes of some softening in the US-Iran tensions and led to an overwhelming upmove in stocks. Asian markets rose impressively. China's Shanghai Composite index gained 1.15%. Hong Kong?s Hang Seng index added 0.98%. Japan?s Nikkei average rose 0.50%. European stocks saw a sharp surge on Monday. The US stocks witnessed stable moves on Friday as Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.46%. COMEX Copper futures are currently trading at $6.40 per pound, up 0.67% on the day. The counter added around 1.50% in last week. MCX Copper futures for August are also up 0.63% at Rs 1340.35 per kg amid sizable intraday volatility.
