Weekly Copper Review: COMEX futures eye Chinese cues

25-Jul-2026 | 17:59
COMEX Copper futures hit six-week high near $6.60 per pound as falling inventories supported the red metal though equities saw volatile movement. The counter added 1.20% for the week. Investors are also looking ahead to an economic policy gathering convened by China?s July Politburo meeting next week, in which President Xi Jinping and his colleagues in the prime decision-making body will set the economic policy tone for the second half. There are expectations of policy support for economic growth after the latest data showed a jagged recovery. China?s Shanghai Composite index has eased around 7.40% over last one-month.
