Copper tries to cut losses amid firm equities

COMEX Copper futures tried to stabilize today after witnessing a hefty slide in last session. The metal was choppy overall as geopolitical scenario remained strained. COMEX Copper is currently up 0.12% at $6.35 per pound. The metal tanked around 2.30% in last session. MCX Copper is down marginally at Rs 1319.05 per kg. Meanwhile, in Asia, China's Shanghai Composite index lost 1.61% on sustained economic worries. Hong Kong?s Hang Seng index eased 0.98%. Japan?s Nikkei average tanked 2.70% after a hefty surge in last session. European stocks saw impressive surge ahead of weekend as firm business activity trends boosted equities. US equities fell on Thursday as oil prices surged amid escalating conflict in the Middle East. The Dow Jones index lost around 0.97% on the day.
